NJ Building Code Update

Many have heard various rumors about potential new building codes to be adopted by New Jersey. AIA-NJ has contacted NJ-DCA this week regarding and were told that no codes will be adopted in the immediate future. The new governor and administration has put a 90-day freeze on all proposed new building codes in the state.

We will be staying in close contact with NJ-DCA and when a new code are adopted we will post an update, with details and grace period information. To check New Jersey current codes go to: www.state.nj.us/dca/codes
