STRATEGIC ALLIANCE PANEL: Key Speakers Will Address Re-Development Challenges at Atlantic Builder’s Convention in April.

The Strategic Alliance, a group of eight real estate-related professional companies, will present a seminar at the upcoming Atlantic Builders Convention on April 15 in Atlantic City, N.J. The discussion titled “Preparing for the Recovery – Are You Ready?” is a continuation of last year’s program, “Boot Camp for Builders in a Troubled Economy.” The panel discussion will take place in the Atlantic City Convention Hall’s room 419 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

The six panelists represent a diverse group of developers, builders, a state senator, sales/marketing and finance experts. Speakers for the session on April 15 include Senator Robert M. Gordon, 38th District, Bergen County; Tom Troy, senior vice president of Sharbell Development Corp; Peter Porraro, senior managing director of Trammell Crow Residential; as well as Alliance members Charles Kauffman, president of C.H. Kauffman & Associates, Inc.; Thomas Osborne, vice president for Patton Harris Rust & Associates; and Bill Becker, president of The William E. Becker Organization. Bill Feinberg, AIA, president of Feinberg & Associates, P.C. will serve as moderator for the session.

The session will focus on the problems facing re-development such as workforce housing, affordable housing, funding and parking issues. It will also address re-evaluating, re-positioning and re-designing for sale and rental properties.

The 61st Annual Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC) will take place April 14-16. ABC is the largest convention in the Northeast for the construction industry and draws participants from a six-state region. Nearly 9,000 residential and commercial builders and remodelers are expected to attend. The convention features up-to-date information about the latest market trends, government policies and technical developments at educational seminars, and hundreds of exhibits showcase the latest products and services.

The Alliance was formed in 2009 to offer builders and developers a full range of real estate-related services. The companies in the alliance include Feinberg & Associates, an architectural design firm; Joseph L. Di Bernardo & Associates, a real estate acquisition and development consulting firm; C.H. Kauffman & Associates, a financial company servicing the development and construction industry; O’Donnell & Naccarato, a well established structural engineering firm, which also specializes in parking functional design work; AKRF, an environmental, planning and engineering consulting firm; Patton Harris Rust & Associates, a civil engineering firm; The Marcon Group, specializing in residential new construction marketing, sales administration, advertising and model merchandising; and The William E. Becker Organization, marketing and sales experts focused on 55+ Active Adult Lifestyle Communities. The combined workforce of the companies exceeds 500 professionals and has offices in the Tri-State and Middle Atlantic region.

In addition to the seminar program, representatives from the Strategic Alliance will be on hand to meet with builders and answer their questions at booth 1402 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. “Builders and developers are encouraged to come to our booth with any project challenges they may be experiencing,” said Feinberg. “Our Alliance members will have a roundtable discussion to see how we can help get these projects restarted.”
