Congratulations to Weiss/Manfredi on receiving AIA New Jersey’s Highest Honor Design Award for the Novartis Visitor Reception Building in East Hanover, NJ in the Built – Commercial, Institutional, Educational, or Multi-Family Residential Design Category

According to the jury, this is a really nice building.  Simple elegance.  Architecture extends into the landscape.  Wonderful dialogue with the earth and sky.  Gullwing lightweight feel on top of a sturdy base.  Almost appears that the roof is floating.  The floorplan is poetic.  Walls become less mass vs steel tubes.  Want to follow to the end.  Continue the exploration.  This project hits all the buttons.  Want to see it in real life.  This will be considered an iconic building down the road.  HUGE High Honor.
