Achieve Excellence
Become an FAIA
The AIA offers a prestigious opportunity for architects to elevate their careers and be recognized for their exceptional contributions to the profession. The Fellowship program (FAIA) is the highest honor AIA members can receive, acknowledging those who have made significant achievements in design, education, public service, and other areas of architectural practice.
AIA NJ encourages qualified members to apply for Fellowship and join a select group of professionals who have advanced the standards of architecture.

Benefits
Becoming a FAIA is a mark of distinction that enhances your professional reputation and provides opportunities to connect with a network of distinguished architects. Fellows enjoy increased visibility within the profession and can serve as mentors and leaders within AIA NJ and the broader architectural community.
Eligibility & Process
To be eligible for Fellowship, candidates must have been AIA members for at least ten years and demonstrated notable achievements in one or more areas of focus. The nomination process involves a thorough review of the candidate’s accomplishments and contributions, with recommendations from peers and a detailed submission of work and impact.
Members are nominated and elevated to the College of Fellows for their achievements in one of the six categories or objects of nomination outlined below.
