AIA New Jersey’s Emerging Professionals Committee has launched our web page, Emerging Professionals. Please visit us and send us some feedback.

One item of interest for Associate members preparing for the ARE, is our ARE Success Teams. We are very excited about this offering and look forward to a successful, no pun intended, launch this year.

Please check it out and if you’re interested, send us an email at ep@aia-nj.org and we’ll add you to our database, send you some more information and keep you informed about the upcoming launch meeting.

AIA New Jersey’s Emerging Professionals Committee is now on Facebook. Please join our group, AIA New Jersey Emerging Professionals, so we can create a strong group that helps us help you and each other.

AIA New Jersey’s Emerging Professionals Committee will also be launching ‘Joe Architect’, a series of interviews with New Jersey architects.

We are looking for diversity here; people at different places in their careers, people who came to architecture as a second career, etc.  So if you are interested in taking a few minutes to answer our interview questionnaire, please let me know by sending an email to ep@aia-nj.org

The intention is to capture a diverse cross section of AIA members and their experiences, and share them with our younger generations. The interviews will be posted on our website, www.aia-nj.org/empro/index.shtml , and will be archived for further use as requested.

Also, AIA New Jersey’s Emerging Professionals are building a mentoring database, so if you are interested in that as well, include that in your email to us.

Thank you for your time,

John A. Cwikla, Associate AIA, LEED AP BD+C
AIANJ Emerging Professionals Chair
