FVHD Architects + Planners is pleased to announce the promotion of Joseph Como, AIA, LEED GA to Associate, effective January 1, 2015. Joseph has over 15 years experience working on public and educational facilities, providing consistent management and leadership on all projects. His creativity and attention to detail make him a valuable member of the firm. Since graduating from Philadelphia University in 2000 with a 5-year Professional Bachelors in Architecture, he has approached all projects with great enthusiasm, striving to make each a success for the client, firm, and community.  As an Associate of the Firm, Joseph will increase his involvement in the Firm’s operations, supporting the Principals, while continuing his role as Project Manager. He is a Registered Architect in New Jersey, credentialed with USGBC as a LEED Green Associate, and a current member of the Lawrence Township Historic Preservation Committee. Recently, Joseph has completed renovations to the Ambassador’s Residence to Cyprus, in Washington DC, additions and renovations to the Hillsborough #3 Fire Station, in Hillsborough NJ, and is currently working on security additions and renovations at (9) facilities for Marlboro Township Public Schools.
Joseph lives in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, married for 5 years to his wife, Jody, and they have two children, Ben and Sadie.
Gary A. Rostron, AIA, joined the firm in January of 1996, and has over 30 years of experience. In 2000, he was promoted to Associate and later, assumed additional responsibilities as Director of Specifications. Promoted to Senior Associate in January 2014, Gary has increased his involvement in all aspects of the firm’s operations supporting the Principals. He has served as an Associate-In-Charge of numerous projects for public schools, higher education, government and commercial facilities. Currently he is working on the design of the new Garfield School District James Madison Elementary School through the NJSDA, Township of Hopewell Emergency Services Building addition/renovation and renovations to the New Jersey National Guard Armory. He is a Registered Architect in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and graduated from Pennsylvania State University, with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science. Prior to attending University, he served honorably in the United States Army as a Military Policeman in Frankfurt, West Germany.
Jason J. Dubowitch, AIA, NCARB, joined the firm in May of 2002, gaining experience with architectural building design from pre-design analysis through construction administration. He has taken a leadership role promoting sustainable design principles and implementing energy efficient technologies in the Firm’s Projects. Promoted to Associate of the Firm in January 2014, Jason has increased his involvement in the Firm’s operations, supporting the Principals with technology integration and client services, while continuing in his role as Project Architect. He is a Registered Architect in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He graduated from Philadelphia University with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in digital design. As designer and project architect, he has a prominent role on many projects including additions and renovations at Central Bucks Tamanend and Lenape Middle Schools, Monmouth Regional High School, and Mercer County Technical Schools. He also participated in the design of Greater Egg Harbor Regional’s New Cedar Creek High School, which was designed to meet USGBC LEED standards for schools and Homeland Security Best Practice Standards for New Jersey.
Jason lives in Holland, Pennsylvania with his wife of 7 years, Brooke, and their two children, Carter and Katelyn.
