Healthcare and Higher Education Market Managers Will Drive Firm’s Sustained Strategy

Focused on Enhancing Scope, Depth and Diversity of Client Capabilities

 

Spiezle Architectural Group, Inc., an award-winning, full-service architectural, interior design, landscape architecture and planning firm, is pleased to announce the hiring of two Senior Project Managers.  Michael A. Thurston AIA, dedicated to the acute healthcare market, and Shivalika Vohra. LEED GA, focused on the higher education sector, will both work to facilitate the firm’s sustainable growth strategy driven to consistently enhance the depth and diversity of its client services.

 

The latest additions enhance  a team of over 60 professionals with extensive architectural, planning, interior design and landscape architecture expertise in sectors including K-12 education, higher education, healthcare, senior living, corporate/commercial, non-profit, hospitality, sustainability, and government markets.  As senior project managers, Michael and Shivalika will facilitate close collaboration with senior design leadership and internal and external production teams for their respective practice areas.  Further, they will work to insure excellence in optimal client management and business development to continue in driving firm growth.

 

Michael, previously with HDR, Inc., is an accomplished healthcare planner and designer who brings 27 years of experience creating acute healthcare environments that are unique and inspirational. He is adept at guiding projects from -business strategies and master planning through design, construction, and post-occupancy review. Project costs have ranged from $10 million to $1.6 billion.  He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois and Master of Architecture from University of Texas-Arlington.

 

Shivalika, previously with Gensler, comes to the firm with more than 15 years of experience in the fields of architecture, interior design and construction including an extensive international background working in various regions and markets worldwide. Her diverse expertise has allowed her to execute projects for clients in education, finance, corporate, retail and healthcare industries. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Chandigarh College of Architecture, Chandigarh, India.
