Reading Time: < 1 minuteBuilding Safety Month, an ICC event sponsored by the American Institute of Architects, is all about educating the public on how best to prepare for the future.
As we face natural and manmade disasters at an ever-increasing rate, building codes and their enforcement become even more important to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our communities. May is the month we promote building safety by sharing information on the value of codes, inspection and registered architects with our communities. Join us in this social media promotion by using the hashtag #BuildingSafety365 when posting your own or sharing our building safety recommendations.
The weekly themes for 2019 are:
Week One | May 1-5 | Preparing for disasters: Build strong, build smart |
Week Two | May 6-12 | Ensuring a safer future through training and education |
Week Three | May 13-19 | Securing clean, abundant water for all communities |
Week Four | May 20-26 | Construction professionals & homeowners: Partners in safety |
