AIA New Jersey Regional Representative Bruce D. Turner, AIA, Installs 2020 Executive Committee

For his last official task as American Institute of Architects (AIA) New Jersey Regional Representative 2017-19, Bruce D. Turner, AIA, performed the installation ceremonies at the AIA New Jersey and Architects League of Northern New Jersey Inauguration and Awards Gala held at The Treasury at Felina in Ridgewood, NJ on Saturday, January 11, 2020.

 

The New Executive Committee is as follows:

Immediate Past President Judy Donnelly, AIA

 

Bruce was elected to his position in 2016, our first ever Regional Representative after the national repositioning of the AIA and during his term worked with his class to meet the goals of the 2016-2020 Strategic Plan, namely: Elevating Public Awareness, Advocating for the Profession and Advancing Knowledge and Expertise with the primary objectives: Career Pathways, Influence, Innovation, Market Leadership, Outreach, Policy, Relevance and Research. In 2019, Mr. Turner additionally served as the Moderator for the Strategic Council, a most esteemed honor and great responsibility.

Outgoing President Donnelly and Incoming President Lazarus shared in the presentation, celebration and recognition for Mr. Turner, citing his recent elevation as a Louise Blanchard Bethune Fellow and presented with a distinguished medal by AIA National in recognition of completing his term on the AIA Strategic Council and for serving as Moderator. Steven and Judy presented Bruce with an award from AIA New Jersey in recognition and appreciation of his exemplary service to AIA New Jersey during this term.
