Update on AIA National, AIA New Jersey and Local Section Events

As we all deal with disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Institute of Architects remains committed to the safety and health of our members and the public. With this in mind, AIA has made the difficult decision to postpone the AIA Conference on Architecture 2020, originally scheduled for May 14–16 in Los Angeles. Find more info here:

The AIA New Jersey March 24th AIA Mayors’ Symposium has been postponed. If you were planning to attend with your clients or mayor, please advise them of this change.

Section Events:

The March 14 AIA West Jersey Social Media Event was not held but will be rescheduled in the future. Watch for updates in the weeks to come.

The March 18th AIA Jersey Shore Social Media Event at Porta in Asbury Park has been postponed. Look for this event to be rescheduled in the future.

The Architects League of Northern New Jersey FLOW Green Film Festival has been cancelled. This annual public event, which is held in conjunction with the Environmental Commission of Franklin Lakes, Oakland and Wyckoff and with the Wyckoff Public Library, was originally scheduled for Thursday March 26th. We are hoping to reschedule this event later this year and will keep you updated regarding a new date when we have one.

This situation continues to evolve quickly and we will be monitoring it closely. Please continue to check social media, corresponding websites and your email for updates regarding the status of future AIA programs. And most of all, continue to be safe by checking the Center for Disease Control’s site at www.cdc.gov for the latest information.
