Recognizing International Firefighters’ Day

May 4th is the day set aside for recognizing and honoring the sacrifice and service of firefighters, International Firefighters’ Day (IFFD). It is also a day in which current and past firefighters can be thanked for their contributions. Pin on a blue and red ribbon, thank a firefighter, and learn more about the celebration HERE.

As architects, we know that our decisions can have much to do with the ease in which firefighters can do their job, saving lives. This month, National Building Safety Month, the theme for week one is Disaster Preparedness. Here is a list of fire safety tips presented by the International Code Council to make our buildings safer in the event of a fire. Please read and share for a safer tomorrow. Firefighters will turn around and thank YOU!
