AIA Newark and Suburban Announces CanStruction 2020

WHO: Teams of New Jersey Architects, Engineering and Design Professionals

WHEN: 

September 6th ENTRY DEADLINE

November 6th BUILD DAY, (Participants may choose place of build and must record their construction process by video or photos for judging. Social distancing rules apply. See CanStruction guidelines HERE.

November 9th Online CANSTRUCTION EXHIBITION opens. Judging will commence.

November 13 Online AWARDS CEREMONY (Details to be announced.)

November 9-13 DeCANSTRUCTION AND DONATION (Community Food Bank will pick up from build location on the 13th. Entrant must load trucks for Food Bank as they will not have any volunteers this year.)

WHERE: YOU DECIDE! -wherever social distancing allows for build and/or public viewing (Use of Temporary vacant storefronts encouraged.)

WHY: To benefit the Community Food Bank of NJ

WHAT: Design and build a structure made from canned foods within a 10ft x 10ft x 10ft high space. More information to come.
