In Memory of Paul D. Remus, AIA, NCARB

Paul D. Remus passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 82, from COVID-19. Mr. Remus is survived by his dear partner, Lynn, his 3 children, their spouses and his 5 grandchildren.

Mr. Remus was a licensed architect for more than 55 years, a member of the American Institute of Architects, West Jersey Section and was certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Mr. Remus started the firm, Remus Architecture, LLC, previously named RM Architecture, more than three decades ago. In 2016 he made the firm a partnership with his long-time friend and colleague, Robert Zmijewski, AIA (Bob Z).

Mr. Remus had extensive experience with both public and private sector clients; identifying and documenting architectural and structural problems, recommending, and designing cost-effective solutions, and working with contractors to ensure the timely and thorough completion of projects.

During the past two decades, Mr. Remus shared his vast knowledge with everyone at Remus Architecture, LLC. The staff learned many skills at the hands of Mr. Remus, especially regarding client relations and design. Together they have provided services for a diverse range of clients. Mr. Remus practiced and taught that in order to create a satisfied clientele, each client and their specific project requirements needed to be custom tailored. Despite his recent passing, the lessons learned from Mr. Remus will live on through Bob and the staff at Remus Architecture, LLC.
