AIA New Jersey Spring Design Night Lecture to Feature MASS Design Group

The Mass Design Group (MASS – Model of Architecture Serving Society) Winner of AIA National Firm of the Year will be joining AIA New Jersey on May 4th as our Keynote speaker for our Spring Design Night Lecture.  The event is titled “Working with Non-For-Profits: An Investment in the Future.”  The first hour includes AIA New Jersey Past Presidents Seth Leeb, AIA, Michael Hanrahan, AIA, and Joshua Zinder, AIA, speaking with their not-for-profit clients.  Next, This will be followed by AIA National Firm of the Year, MASS Design Group. MASS Design Group is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, governed by a board of directors who supervise the activities of the organization. The board is composed of a diverse group of leaders from different sectors and perspectives.

Hear from three AIA New Jersey Architects working with not-for-profits to improve and support their
communities. Listen as they share experiences, challenges and commitment to the greater good. Speakers will include Michael Hanrahan, AIA of Clarke Caton Hintz speaking on New Jersey Community Capital with Diane Sterner, Director of Community Strategies, Seth A. Leeb Architect speaking on Habitat for Humanity with COO Liz DeCoursey and Joshua Zinder, AIA, LEED AP of JZA+D presenting on Homeworks in Trenton with Co-Founder Natalie Tung.

Justin Brown, AIA, LEED AP and Christopher Kroner, AIA founders of MASS Design Group will present their philosophy and world projects. The 2022 AIA National Firm of the Year’s mission is to research, build, and advocate for architecture that promotes justice and human dignity. The firm was founded on the understanding that architecture’s influence reaches beyond individual buildings. MASS (Model of Architecture Serving Society) believes that architecture has a critical role to play in supporting communities to confront history, shape new narratives, collectively heal and project new possibilities for the future.
