Spiezle Architectural Group, Inc., an employee-owned, award-winning, full-service architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, and planning firm, is proud to announce that Anthony (Tony) Catana, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to Associate Principal. Tony joined Spiezle in 1994 and is now celebrating his 28th year with the firm. He began as an architectural designer, and through the years has grown into a project architect, project manager, and Director of Building Technology.
Throughout his time at Spiezle, he has led more than 800 projects and built long-lasting client relationships. His comprehensive knowledge of building codes has led to his involvement in the approval of several code additions to the International Code Council’s (ICC) Green Codes, Commissioning Guidelines, and Administrative Codes.
“Promoting someone of Tony’s stature is a testament to his outstanding work at Spiezle,” said Thomas Perrino, President, and CEO at Spiezle. “We’ve been fortunate to have grown substantially, in large part because of leaders like Tony. He embodies the firm’s ethos of taking care of our people and providing strong resources to our clients. We’re excited to announce this promotion.”
Tony’s ingenuity and creativity allow him to solve each project’s design hurdles, and he helps clients develop holistic and well-rounded solutions. Catana received his Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the New Jersey Society of Architects, the ICC, and the ICC Sustainable Membership Council.
“Working at Spiezle for nearly 30 years has been rewarding and a highlight of my career,” said Catana. “I welcome this new role as I continue my career and lend my knowledge, leadership, and design philosophy to the firm’s clients and employees.”
