View The AIA and USGBC Webinar on the Inflation Reduction Act

September 19, 2022

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Dear AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) colleague,

It was my pleasure to introduce an AIA and the US Green Building Council (USGBC) joint webinar on September 14 to provide our industry with information on the federal investments for building decarbonization included in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Signed into law on August 16, the IRA is the largest federal investment in climate action in history.

This lively session included details about the provisions of the new law including updated commercial and residential tax incentives, incentives for building energy code adoption, as well as the new rebate programs to promote home energy efficiency and electrification.

Demand for the session was so high that it sold out. But if you weren’t able to attend live, you can watch the recording of the webinar on Zoom at this site. The passcode for viewing is: 8^I?$8CS

AIA will continue to keep members informed about the new federal investments in infrastructure as the provisions of the law and funding opportunities are developed by federal agencies. We will provide future updates as the regulations and grants are promulgated.

Sincerely,

Anica Landreneau, Assoc. AIA
