Reading Time: 2 minutesOctober 1, 2022, AIA South Jersey participated in the Cumberland County Improvement Authority Annual Waterways Cleanup. Our cleanup site was Alliance Beach, Pittsgrove, NJ. The group included (left to right) AIASJ Past-President Bruce Turner, AIA, Sarah Turner, Ellen Fulton of Patcraft Flooring, Nancy Medl of The Henry Corporation, Luke Vastano, AIAS, from Thomas Jefferson University, and AIASJ Immediate Past-President Phil Giambri, AIA.
This effort builds off the work by AIA South Jersey this spring for the Clean Oceans Beach Cleanup and a couple of years ago at the Pinelands Preservation Alliance Cleanup. All of this is an excellent tangible example of their real-life commitment to sustainability and a reflection of the desire to be valued members of the communities of which they are a part.
