After two sold out seminars on the new NJ IBC / IRC 2021 building codes, AIANJ is offering additional seminar sessions in December.  If you missed the previous seminars, sign up today.

AIA NJ Code Seminars – Significant changes to the 2021 IRC, New Jersey

Speaker: Jack Boekhouk

Description: Jack Boekhout’s primary business is to provide consultation on Building Codes and Accessibility Codes for Architects, Engineer’s, Contractors, Code Officials and Attorneys. Participants will be made aware of some of the fine points of the New Jersey edition of the 2021 IRC. Included will be information concerning the changes in the Residential code that are specific to New Jersey. In addition to a comprehensive handout, 2-page IRC plan review checklist will be provided to help anyone checking the drawings for compliance prior to submittal. Many of the new requirements for decks will be discussed as well.

Accreditation: 6 HSW, LU’s (Learning Units)

In addition to a comprehensive handout, an abbreviated 2-page plan review checklist will be provided to help anyone checking the drawings for compliance prior to submittal. In addition to changes, the topics will include height and area calculations review along with examples.
