AIA Central New Jersey Invites you to a Tour of Five Birds Farm
Join us as we embark on a journey through the heart of Five Birds Farm, a haven where restoration meets re-imagination, in a landscape steeped in history.
3-4pm: Tour of the property
4-6pm: Refreshments and elegant food
The building tour invites you to explore the beautifully restored 100-year-old barn, charming carriage house, the updated 1930s Sears and Roebuck catalog cottage, and the original 1920s Copper Hill train station and post office—all integral parts of Five Bird Farm’s 300-year-old historic homestead.
At the heart of Five Birds Farm lies a commitment to sustainability and affordability. Learn about their ongoing efforts to create an elevated and natural atmosphere for celebrations while ensuring essential elements remain accessible. Engage with the collection of vintage furniture, decor, and native species meadows available for events, all part of their dedication to restoring the property in a way that reimagines its potential, fostering a community-centered atmosphere that honors the shared experience of nature and community. The tour also unveils their permaculture-driven farm-to-fork food and flower garden, highlighting efforts at waste reduction, soil regeneration, and the reintroduction of native plant species.
The tour will be led by the stewards of the property. The couple have a background in gardening, small-batch coffee roasting, and a deep appreciation for culinary arts. They bring over 30 years of combined event planning and production experience to this unique project. Their journey began as avid gardeners and food enthusiasts, evolving into a dream of living on a property where they could share meaningful and joyous experiences with others. This passion and expertise form the foundation of Five Birds Farm, where celebration meets sustainability under the guidance of The Birds.
