BIG NEWS!!
New Jersey Governor Philip Murphy has proclaimed April 6-12, 2025, New Jersey Architecture Week!
As Chairman of the NJ Architecture Week Committee, I’m pleased to announce our plans for 2025. This year we celebrate our state one week ahead of National Architecture Week, and recognize our 125th anniversary!
According to The AIA: Architecture Week celebrates the profession of architecture and invites everyone—especially K-12 students—to explore architecture and design. We encourage all members to participate individually, as a firm, or with your local AIA Section in the activities and events they propose. We ask that you share your experiences with us via photographs, tagging @AIANJ @AIA #AIANational #ArchitectureWeek #AIANJ and #NJArchWeek25 in your social media posts or other means. Please publicize and invite clients, friends and family to all public events.

Additionally, here in New Jersey, we have presented orchestrated content across our social media outlets each April in celebration of New Jersey architecture, our members, their work and their interests. Once again, we will be featuring a particular project type each day across our social media platforms:

We are accepting submissions of your work for promotion.
This is the suggested sample format for 2025.
Each submission should be attributed to an AIA NJ member. One submission is permitted per member. You can simply change out the information, switch out pictures and revise text. Don’t forget to change your section. When complete please SAVE AS A JPG and UPLOAD AT THIS LINK BY MARCH 31, 2025, with clarification as to what project type of architecture it is. We will do the posting, but encourage you to share your slides on your social media, too! Don’t forget to credit the photographer if it’s not your product photo.
PHOTO COMPETITION
Finally, we are holding a Photo Competition with winners to be exhibited concurrently with the National AIA Architecture Week celebration. We are soliciting your photos to be judged by a group of your peers for their artistic quality and insights. The photographs must be of NJ Architecture.
Categories are Black and White and Color with prizes for the best in each, certificates for 2nd and 3rd place, and a single overall winner regardless of category. Entry forms and rules can be found HERE.
If you have questions about any NJ Architecture Week initiatives, please email Stacey Ruhle Kliesch, AIA, at staceykliesch@gmail.com. We look forward to your participation as without it there is no celebration.
Thank you,
Paul Tiajoloff, AIA
