Join AIA NJ for an informative webinar on the Preliminary NJ Draft State Development and Redevelopment Plan presented by Walter C. Lane, Acting Executive Director of the New Jersey Office of Planning Advocacy. The NJ Planning Commission has recently released the Preliminary Draft State Plan and is currently engaging in a review and cross-acceptance process with county and municipal stakeholders. The finalized plan is expected to be released in late 2025.
The Plan outlines ten critical goals, encompassing economic development, housing, transportation, environmental protection, historic resource protection, and public health. These goals significantly impact the practice of architecture, emphasizing health, safety, and welfare considerations in the built environment. This webinar will provide architects with key insights into the latest planning policies and how they align with sustainable, equitable, and innovative design solutions.
Join us to explore how architects in New Jersey can take an active role in shaping the State Plan and contribute to the development of healthier, safer, and more resilient communities.
