The Value of Architecture ‘future-focused’ subgroup is currently synthesizing and analyzing the data from the survey conducted at AIA24 and continued online for several weeks. We are utilizing a mix of human, AI, and digital whiteboard platforms to help identify recurring themes and keywords.
This information will be used for our September report to the AIA Board of Directors – that report will contain study group updates including a short overview of the group’s initial goals, a summary of our findings, recommended actions by the AIA Board of Directors, implications by 2035 if no action is taken, and recommendations to the 2025 Strategic Council.
Q3 will be a busy quarter for council members. Not only are we preparing our progress reports to the board, which are executive summaries, but we are also preparing a more robust presentation of the work done by our group for a report out to the entire council assembly. Those presentations are scheduled to occur between mid-August and mid-October. The feedback gained during the presentations will be incorporated in the final report from each study group.
