AIA NJ Past President Seth A. Leeb, AIA, Recognized for Contributing to Habitat for Humanity Veterans Housing Project
AIA New Jersey Past President Seth A. Leeb, AIA, was on the major networks recently, being recognized as the Architect for two Habitat for Humanity Homes that were dedicated in Perth Amboy. One was for a Veteran and featured during Habitat Veteran Build Week. Both projects were on “George To The Rescue” earlier this month.
Seth Leeb has been volunteering his architectural services for Morris Habitat For Humanity since early 2008 and has completed over 14 projects. He has been the Chair twice for the Annual Gala, in 2014 and 2015. Seth was on the Honorary Committee in 2013 and 2014 and has been on the Gala Committee for several years.
Awards:
2014: Perseverance Partner Award: Perseverance partners are those volunteers who, through thick and thin, through happy times and challenges keep coming back to volunteer with Morris Habitat. They fill in when needed, they offer advice and experience, and they partner with us ‘just because’
2015: Distinguished Partner Award: Distinguished partners are individual volunteers or teams who stepped up to take on leadership positions on a team, on a construction site, for an event, for a new program to help assist staff members with ensuring the quality of our program.
According to Seth, “I design a lot of Habitat projects and attend many of my groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremonies. I have learned how to position myself to ensure visibility in the photographs. At every one of these events I personally get a shout-out thanks from the Executive Director of Habitat.”
