AIA New Jersey Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP) Committee
The AIA New Jersey Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP) Committee serves as a resource for AIA members, the profession, and the public in the deployment of computer technology in the practice of architecture. TAP leaders actively monitor the development of emerging tools and evaluate their impact on the entire building life cycle—including design, construction, facility management, and eventual reuse or retirement.
Our core mission is to promote the thoughtful integration of new technologies into architectural practice. We focus on advancing knowledge of digital tools that improve design quality, project efficiency, and interdisciplinary collaboration. From BIM and automation to artificial intelligence, data visualization, and virtual reality, TAP keeps the architectural community informed about what’s new and what’s next.
Through a series of webinars held throughout the year, TAP introduces architects to current and emerging technologies shaping the profession. These sessions offer practical insights, expert perspectives, and real-world applications that architects can bring directly into their firms and projects.
