Teams of Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Designers or Students

WHAT:

Design and build structures entirely from canned foods to fit within a
10’ wide x 10’ long x 10’ high space.

WHEN

30 Oct – Call for Entries Released
03 Feb – Deadline for Entry 5:00pm [form, check, and form]
28 Feb – Deadline to Submit Concept Sketches [upload]
16 Apr – Deadline to Submit Signage Text [upload]
03 May – Cans delivered to venue [7:00am – 10:00am]
03 May – Build Day 10:15am – 7:00pm
03 May – 05 May: Open to the Public
18 May – De-canstruction [5:45pm – 8:00pm]
TBD June – Awards Ceremony

WHERE:

Deptford Mall
1750 Deptford Center Road, Deptford Township, NJ 08096
WHY: To benefit the Food Bank of South Jersey and use design to bring
awareness to the issues surrounding hunger in our community.

HOW:

Complete the entry from and return via mail by February 3rd with entry
fee of $200 [checks payable to “AIA West Jersey” Memo: Canstruction].
