AIA New Jersey Past President Fellows Take on New Leadership Roles at the New Jersey State Board of Architects

At the New Jersey State Board of Architects’ regularly scheduled virtual meeting on June 9, 2026, William M. Brown, III, FAIA, NOMAC, was nominated and elected as the new President.

Albert F. Zaccone, FAIA, PP, CID, was elected Vice President.

Robert Cozzarelli, FAIA, NCARB, SARA, PP, CID, and David C. Schulz, AIA, PP, AUA, NCARB, both NJ State Board of Architects Past Presidents, continue to serve on the board as well.

President Brown expressed his gratitude for being surrounded by seasoned veterans, Al, Bob, and David, who exemplify and model excellent leadership, dedication, and commitment to the NJ State Board of Architects. They are supported by an outstanding staff with Charles Kirk as the Executive Director.

Mr. Brown served as AIA NJ President in 2002, Mr. Zaccone in 1999, and Mr. Cozzarelli in 2004. Mr. Schultz is Vice President for Planning, Development, and Design and University Architect at Rutgers University.
