AIA New Jersey is excited to share that our New Jersey Small Firm Exchange State Representative, William J Martin, AIA, has been selected to join the AIA Small Firm Exchange (SFx) Board.
His involvement, perspective, and commitment to small firm practice has been noticed, and the AIA SFx believes he will bring something important to the national conversation. SFx continues to evolve, and having strong leaders who understand both the opportunities and challenges facing small firms throughout the country is essential to that work.
Board members are expected to actively participate in meetings, initiatives, working groups, and broader SFx programming throughout the year. Bill will bring the perspective of our state and region, but also be asked to think nationally and help AIA advocate for and serve small firms across the entire Institute.
One of SFx’s greatest strengths is their ability to connect what is happening nationally with what members are actually experiencing locally, and Board members play an important role in maintaining that connection.
Bill joins AIA NJ Past President, Joshua Zinder, AIA SFx 2027 Chair-Elect, in addressing the unique needs of Small Firms, a category which about 75% of firms in NJ fall into.
