Course Description:
This course is intended for interior designers and architects on the aspects of digital décor that affect health, safety, and welfare. It covers industry trends, ink, substrate choices, and their respective applications to interior and exterior décor.
This program addresses knowledge intended to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants of the built environment specifically relating to environmental graphics.
Course Objectives:
1. Be able to define the current industry trends and key drivers that are impacting the need for digital décor in three key segments
2. Identify how sustainability comes into play for the PSP (Print Service Provider), architect, installer and end-user and environment. And be able to define the key terminology in meeting the end user requirements
3. Understand and deploy the new types of printing technology, substrates, materials and applications that are commonly used to produce the three key pillars of digital décor
4. Become familiar with the design and print requirements needed to complete a successful environmental graphics project
This CEU is also registered with the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) for continuing education credits.
