The AIA New Jersey Education and Scholarship Foundation seeks applicants to join its board. The Board Member (Trustee) Responsibilities are as follows:
1. The Board shall consist of not less than six (6) nor more than twelve (12) regular Trustees.
2. Trustees shall serve for a term of three (3) years. They may be re-elected for one (1) additional term, totaling six (6) consecutive years of service.
3. Trustees shall receive no compensation for their services and may resign at any time by delivering written or electronic notice to the Board.
4. Trustees must attend the Annual meeting and all Regular meetings (3-4 per year).
5. Participate in meetings and discussions as a member of a Committee.
6. Promote the scholarship program to potential applicants and the broader community.
7. Maintain confidentiality of applicant information and uphold the integrity of the selection
process.
8. Assist in developing and updating scholarship policies, guidelines, and evaluation rubrics
as needed.
9. Assess the impact of the scholarship program and suggest improvements for future
cycles.
