If Fellowship is a goal, the application process opens in June and closes in October (dates to be announced). The nomination and application process requires ort, so planning should start early.
Advancement to the AIA College of Fellows honors architects who have significantly contributed to architecture and society on a national level. Approximately 3% of AIA members have achieved this honor, the highest award given to individuals other than the Gold Medal.
AIA architect members in good standing for at least ten years can be nominated. Even if you are not yet eligible but want to learn more about the Value of Fellowship and what is required to be a successful applicant, you should consider attending. If you have attended our “Submitting for Fellowship” Webinar in the past, you should attend this year, as the Committee has updated and expanded content related to identifying and recruiting candidates and new strategies for helping applicants address important issues such as Object Selection and Ripple Effect.
