October 8th is National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day! Inventor Mike Stritsky has created the Hydrogen House project in Hopewell, NJ, and a second house in Pennington with the same technology.
Both homes run on hydrogen produced by solar….a completely green closed loop. Normally fuel cells (which this is) are powered by fossil fuel to make the reaction. Mike’s advancement to generate hydrogen using solar is unique and makes it a truly closed-loop sustainable technology.
Mike’s system is proven but still a prototype, to some extent. Regardless, it is very exciting to lean about and share, as we continue to seek sustainable solutions in the building industry.
