AIA New Jersey Historic Archives Committee Presents Series of Webinars in Honor of the 125th Anniversary of AIA NJ
As part of AIA New Jersey’s 125th Anniversary celebration, the AIA New Jersey Historic Archives Committee (AIA NJ HArC) is producing a series of engaging webinars exploring the history of the American Institute of Architects New Jersey Chapter and its six sections. Through a fascinating collection of historical photographs, memorabilia, newspaper clippings, and personal letters, these presentations bring to life the influential figures, pivotal moments, and key initiatives that have shaped AIA New Jersey. The webinars highlight the NJSA’s early advocacy efforts, including political lobbying, the contributions of influential architects, and the push for the establishment of a New Jersey School of Architecture. Viewers gain insight into the professional and societal causes championed by its members, the organization’s impact on public awareness of architecture, and the advocacy efforts that have strengthened the profession. Additionally, explore the formation of the regional sections and their impact on the profession.
