The AIA New Jersey Annual Service Awards honor individuals and firms who have made outstanding contributions to the architecture profession and to society—beyond design. These awards highlight efforts that elevate public awareness of the built environment, demonstrate commitment to community service, and support the broader mission of architecture in shaping a better world.

The Michael Graves Lifetime Achievement Award is the most prestigious honor bestowed by AIA New Jersey—recognizing an individual whose career has made a profound and lasting impact on the theory and practice of architecture. Named for our esteemed first recipient, Michael Graves, FAIA, this award celebrates those whose distinguished body of work transcends boundaries, inspires generations, and reflects a lifelong dedication to advancing the built environment.Awarded only when a candidate truly embodies the spirit of this recognition, the Michael Graves Lifetime Achievement Award honors not just architectural excellence—but legacy.
