Whether you’re interested in advocacy, education, sustainability, emerging professionals, or leadership development, there are numerous ways to participate:

Codes and Regulations Committee

Monitors and informs members on building codes, standards, and regulatory changes impacting architectural practice.

Committee on the Environment

Promotes sustainable design and climate-responsive architecture to support a healthier built environment.

Emerging Professionals Committee

Supports students, associates, and newly licensed architects with resources, mentorship, and professional development.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee

Champions a more inclusive and representative architectural profession through advocacy, outreach, and education.

Historical Archives Committee

Preserves and shares the rich architectural history of AIA New Jersey through documentation, research, and storytelling..

Historic Resources Committee

Promotes the preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse of historic buildings and places across New Jersey.

Legislative & Government Affairs Committee

Engages with policymakers to advocate for legislation that supports architects, the profession, and the built environment.

Small Firms Exchange

Addresses the needs of small firm practitioners through networking, resources, and representation at the state level.

Safe School Design Task Force

Advocates for design strategies that enhance safety, security, and well-being in educational environments.

Technology in Architectural Practice Committee (TAP)

Explores how emerging technologies are transforming architecture, from design to construction.

Women in Architecture Committee (WIA)

Empowers women in the profession through mentorship, advocacy, and programs that support leadership and equity.
