Course Description:
According to neuroscientist Dan Siegel, PhD, a conscious leader is one who is able to harness the characteristics of conscious awareness in ways that inspire others to become their best selves, optimize how they solve problems, and find innovative approaches to their company’s challenges and goals. Conscious leadership, therefore, enhances and expands an individual’s and an organization’s capacity to purposefully, intentionally create.
In this 60-minute session, we’ll explore how we might break down self-limiting habits and narratives, cultivate courage, expand what we see is possible, and wholeheartedly create the future we envision — for ourselves and for those around us. We’ll learn a very practical tool to shift from reactivity to creativity, from fear to trust, and from burnout to growth, learning, and thriving.
Learning Objectives:
- Increase self-awareness and insight by examining how our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and self-talk shape what we see is possible.
- Gain competence in shifting from a reactive, threat-based mode to a responsive, creative way of meeting challenging situations.
- Gain competence in connecting with our deeper motivations and core values.
- Learn a practical tool to cultivate presence and conscious awareness in order to see clearly and recognize the best path in the midst of complex, difficult circumstances.
