Description: Floods are the prevailing natural disaster in the United States. As flooding becomes more frequent, providing designs and details to be more resilient becomes critical in future buildings. The protection of the health, safety and welfare of building occupants is dependent upon buildings being resilient to flood damage. This course will discuss alternatives available when raising a building above the floodplain is not an option.

We will be having the presentation at 3pm entitled “High Winds Workshop” and the 4pm session is entitled “Energy Framing Techniques” both presented by David E. Lewis and Craig Doehner of Norbord. If you would like a description on these sessions feel free to contact me.
