This course provides an overview of the New Jersey Rehabilitation Subcode, focusing on its application to residential and commercial projects. Participants will learn how to navigate the code, classify rehabilitation work, and apply the relevant provisions for compliance. The course will also cover the distinctions between rehabilitation and new construction codes, plan submission requirements, and special provisions for historic buildings and flood-resistant construction.
This session qualifies for 2 HSW credits.

Guest Speaker
Jack Daniels is the Construction, Building Subcode, and Zoning Official for Chatham Township, overseeing land use enforcement and regulatory compliance. He has over 30 years of experience in building codes, fire safety, and zoning enforcement, having served in multiple municipalities across New Jersey. In addition to his municipal roles, he is a Uniform Construction Code instructor at Rutgers University and a fire official for the Town of Clinton, conducting site plan reviews and fire inspections. Daniels has also worked in private-sector training and consulting, providing instruction on modular construction, fire protection systems, and building regulations. here is what i have.
