A variety of members-only volunteer opportunities at the local, state, and national chapters give you the chance to expand your network, stretch your skills, give back, share knowledge, and support your profession’s growth and development.

The AIA designation is recognized by clients, civic leaders, the public, and the AEC industry as an abiding commitment to professional excellence. Using it after your name signals that you follow the highest standards of architectural practice.

AIA diligently safeguards your profession and fights for architecture that does more by advocating at the federal, state, and local government levels for policies that advance the architect's role in the built environment, improve firms' business climate, thwart encroachment, and protect the public's health, safety, and welfare.
