On the Passing of Tylman R. Moon, AIA
Tim graduated Class of 1958 from the University of Virginia, School of Architecture, and was a member of the Raven Society, the T.I.L.K.A. Society, the Omicron Delta Kappa Society, and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He was a midshipman in the NROTC program while in school and served in the US Navy on the USS Galveston, eventually rising to the rank of Commander in the Reserves. After his active duty, he worked as an architect and owned his own firm based in Flemington, NJ before retiring in 2015.
Tim was a member of the American Institute of Architects and served a term as President of the New Jersey chapter in 1984. He was also an active member of the Lions Club, the Rotary Club and Trout Unlimited and coached the Flemington Falcons Pop Warner football team for several years. He was an Elder at the Flemington Presbyterian Church and became an Elder at the Seneca Presbyterian Church after he and Lavonne moved to Seneca in 2015.
A memorial service was held at the Seneca Presbyterian Church on April 20, 2024.
