The AIA New Jersey Historical Archives Committee Influential Architect Series proudly presents an interview with AIA NJ Member, Robert W. O’Reilly, AIA. Mr. O’Reilly is a licensed Architect in the State of New Jersey with over 40 years of experience in Architectural Design, Sustainable Design, Project Management, and construction administration, working with various design and construction firms across New Jersey. Not long after acquiring his New Jersey license as an architect, he transitioned his talents into the construction management arena by fulfilling a Senior Project Management role at Wu & Associates, Inc. while cofounding Arch Design Architects, where he served as Principal for 15 years. He is also an FAA-certified drone pilot and has produced aerial photography on various new construction and rehabilitation projects. He is currently the owner and principal of Robert W. O’Reilly Architect, LLC.
Robert has served as AIA West Jersey Secretary, Vice President, President Elect, 2012 President, Past President, and Trustee. He serves as West Jersey liaison on the AIA-NJ L&GA Committee (Legislation & Government Affairs Committee). He has served in the past on the AIA-NJ COTE Committee and the AIA National Best Practices Committee.
In Robert’s spare time, he is involved with his church, volunteering his time to Community Service. He is also a competitive fencer.
