AIA New Jersey’s roving celebrity, #FlatArchitect, recently made national news when the American Institute of Architects recognized the social impact and ripple effect of this beloved character in its Component Update Spotlight. This is a great example of the power of Public Awareness.
#FlatArchitect was created by AIA NJ Public Awareness Co-chair William J. Martin, AIA, in collaboration with Brian Penschow, AIA, and Marissa Iamello, AIA. The most recent iteration of #FlatArchitect took the likeness of AIA Fellow Verity Frizzell, FAIA, and toured the AIA26 National Conference in San Diego, escorted by Chris Brand, AIA, and Mike Rosado, Associate AIA.
