| The U.S. Senate passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the government through December 11. The bill includes a provision preventing the administration from enacting its overhaul of the federal grantmaking process until that date. The House adjourned July 23 after passing its own CR, which does not contain this provision, and returns August 31. To prevent a government shutdown, the House will need to pass the Senate’s CR or propose an alternative that can pass both chambers. AIA is leading a letter on the OMB rule and will transmit it to the House during the last week of August.
