Annual Meeting & Webinar — The History of AIA Central New Jersey, 1923–Present

Join us for a special webinar by the AIA NJ Historical Archives Committee, exploring AIA Central New Jersey’s story from its founding in 1923 to today. Featuring photos, newspaper clippings, and archival records, the program will highlight Central’s milestones, contributions to the profession, and role in shaping architectural leadership, advocacy, and community engagement in New Jersey.

This presentation will be followed by AIA CNJ’s annual meeting.

This webinar explores the complex and rich history of AIA Central New Jersey — one of six Sections of the New Jersey Chapter — from its origins in 1923 to the present day.

This presentation will explore Central’s extensive archives, featuring photographs, newspaper clippings, and historical records. The presentation will highlight Central’s origins, its contributions to the architectural profession in New Jersey, and its influence on events of local, state, and national significance.

In addition to historical milestones, the session will spotlight the leadership, advocacy, and community engagement that have defined Central’s legacy and shaped its role within AIA New Jersey. This program is especially relevant for those interested in architectural history, biographical insights, and the development of professional leadership.

Annual Meeting

Following the presentation, AIA Central New Jersey members will meet to hear annual reports, conduct business, and hold officer elections.

Nominations for open positions will be accepted and voted on from the floor.  In addition to the officer elections, we will receive the annual reports from the Board of Trustees and the Treasurer and conduct any other necessary business.
