Call for AIA-NJ Officer Nominations

The 2010 Nominations Committee of AIA New Jersey is currently seeking qualified members in good standing for consideration to stand for election for the following offices for a term beginning in January 2011, unless noted otherwise.

Re: Nominations for officers of AIA-NJ for 2011 open positions

Open offices include:
President Elect, 1 year term with automatic advancement to President, Architect Member required
First Vice President, 1 year term, Architect Member required
Second Vice President, 1 year term, Architect Member required
Treasurer, 2 year term, Architect Member required
Regional Director, 3 year term, Architect Member required
Regional Associate Director, 2 year term, Associate Member required (term begins May 2011, must be an Associate member at the start of the term)

Interested parties should visit www.aia-nj.org, login under member services, and review the by laws and policies of AIA-NJ for more information on the open offices.

Nomination of officers will be conducted in accordance with the AIA New Jersey Bylaws and all applicable policies.

Each candidate for office shall provide the Nomination Committee with a candidate statement at least 45 days prior to the election meeting. The

candidates’ statement shall be limited to 8.5″ x 11″ in size and shall contain a photo, if available, a biography, and a statement of philosophy. The campaign statements will be made available to each voting member on the Chapter web site no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the election. The candidates will distribute no other campaign

material. Candidates may also be invited to Chapter or Section Candidates nights.

Please submit all nominations to the attention of the nominations committee, care of chair, Stacey Ruhle Kliesch, AIA, to staceykliesch@optonline.net, no later than April 6, 2010.
