A New Year, A New President: Welcome Judith A. Donnelly, AIA, 2019 President of AIA New Jersey

On January 01, at the stroke of midnight and following a great year under the leadership of the amazing Verity Frizzell, FAIA, I am humbled and honored to begin my term as your 96th President!   I plan to be a President for YOU, the members and friends of AIA NJ!

I am ready to steer the Chapter with the assistance of the Members, the Sections, the Executive Committee, the Board of Trustees, all Chairpersons & Committee members, our Executive Director (and his terrific team) and everyone who wants to be involved.  We at AIA NJ are diligently working towards an ‘Energetic Year’!

To remain viable, relevant and healthy as an organization (the NJ chapter was started in November 1896) for years to come, we need our emerging professionals sector to grow exponentially and take over the leadership of the AIA.  Therefore, it is my #1 GOAL, to embrace our intelligent, interesting, and ambitious young colleagues!  It is up to us (those who are ‘aging out’) to share our expertise and knowledge of AIA NJ so that our organization will easily thrive for 122 more years!

I like to think of myself as someone who is very  ‘Optimistic & Approachable’ and I want to LISTEN!  Therefore, I welcome telephone calls (908)852-3113) and emails (donnellyarchitecture@comcast.net) from anyone, at any time.

THANK YOU, all of you, for your continued efforts and dedication that make our ‘large state’ a special Chapter of the AIA!  Together, let’s make 2019 a great year!

Yours Truly,

Judith A. Donnelly, AIA

2019 President

AIA New Jersey
