The AIA New Jersey congratulates Philip Giambri, AIA, member of the South Jersey section and instructor of CAD and Architectural Design at Vineland High School, for receiving the Architects League of Northern New Jersey Diane and Ben Lee K-12 Design Education Grant, presented Saturday January 11, 2020 by ALNNJ and @aianewjersey Past President Ben Lee, AIA, at the ALNNJ and AIA-NJ Installation Dinner and Awards Gala.
The Diane and Ben Lee Design Education Fund provides annual grants of up to $2,500 to schools, teachers, groups or individuals actively pursuing design curriculum in their school or educational entity that directly benefits New Jersey K-12 students. The 2019 grant recipient is Philip Giambri of Vineland High School. Philip is an instructor of architecture and design at Vineland High School, a practicing architect in southern New Jersey, and an ACE (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) mentor. He has practiced architecture of over twenty years in institutional and residential design work. He has been teaching for seven years and earned a B. Arch from Drexel University. Philip plans on using the grant to purchase a desktop laser cutter to help his CAD students build models of their projects.
