AIA New Jersey Past President Jason Kliwinski, AIA, Speaks to the New Jersey School Board Association

AIA New Jersey Past President, Jason Kliwinski, AIA, LEED Fellow/Faculty, recently spoke with the New Jersey School Board Association (NJSBA) regarding healthy changes that schools can implement as they reopen under COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Jason has been designing schools for over 20 years and interested in sustainable design for much longer. As one of the founders of the NJ US Green Building Council Chapter, Jason has been sharing his knowledge with the design community, building operators and users for decades.

In this program with John Henry of the NJSBA, Jason shares information on LEED and WELL Building Standards, and tracking tools like Arc.

Jason also talks about the resources available through Sustainable Jersey for Schools and the ASHRAE standards that schools should look to for guidance on ventilation changes. The conversation covers cleaning supplies, operational changes, and design configuration changes that schools can implement to provide safer environments for COVID-19 and beyond.
