Reading Time: < 1 minuteA’18 is shaping up to be as grand an event as ever there was! From navigating the Big Apple for Pre-Conference Workshops to Tours to Parties, Candidate Speeches, Education Seminars and the Expo Floor, it can be overwhelming for a first timer or even a 10th timer!
Many large firms travel in packs or have a senior, seasoned manager scope out itineraries that suit their unique business agenda. But what is a small firm practitioner to do? The biggest mistake is thinking you will figure it out when you get there. Pre-planning and strategy are a must.
The AIA Small Firm Exchange (AIA SFx) is an AIA Member Group that provides opportunities and tools all year long to support and encourage all AIA Small Firms. In preparation for A’18, the AIA SFx has published a list of recommended conference activities of particular relevance to small firm practitioners. If you have already registered for A’18, you can log into your registration record and add some or all of the recommended programs. If you have not already registered, what the heck are you waiting for?
Follow this link to join the AIA SFx, to find their list of A’18 recommendations and to enhance your own small firm potential with the support of small firms across the nation.
