Emerging Professionals EPiC Achievement for Brandon Warshofsky, AIA

Many Emerging Professionals wait until they become registered to join AIA, missing out on the plethora of support, resources, leadership, travel and employment opportunities that abound for associates in the community of AIA. AIA NJ is fortunate to have a crop of phenomenal young leaders among our membership, taking advantage of those benefits and giving back tenfold. A few stand out in particular.

One such remarkable man is Brandon Warshofsky, AIA, a recently licensed architect in New Jersey and New York. He currently lives and practices in Newark, New Jersey.

Brandon is a member of AIA Newark and Suburban and this year’s recipient of the Carleton B. Riker, Jr., Associate Emeritus AIA Honor Award. This is AIA Newark and Suburban’s highest honor for associates.

The Award was presented at the AIA Newark and Suburban 2018 Past President’s Banquet by Brandon’s colleague, friend, and past award recipient, Jessica Mae O’Donnell, AIA, another notable leader Emerging Professional in AIA NJ.

After graduating from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2013 Brandon became involved with AIA New Jersey where he found a welcoming community of mentors and peers. In 2016, Brandon became a Trustee of the Board of AIA Newark and Suburban Architects and saw firsthand the value of the Institute to members at every step on the path toward licensure. As an unlicensed architect starting his career, events in the chapter became windows to the larger profession and all the different possibilities it held.

The same year, he took on the role of Regional Associate Director for AIA New Jersey where he represented all Associate AIA members in New Jersey at the National Level. This position enabled him to exchange ideas with and learn from other Associate AIA members from across the country while helping develop the Emerging Professional Community (EPiC) in New Jersey which is working to bridge the gap between university and licensure.

Brandon continues to give his time, energy and enthusiasm to EPiC, AIA-NS, AIA-NJ and NJ APAC.

Brandon Warshofsky, AIA, Congratulations and Thank you!
