For the ninth consecutive year, the AIA New Jersey Committee on the Environment has gathered with industry experts and colleagues at the East Coast Green Conference. This year’s event was held at The Willow School in Gladstone, NJ, chaired by AIA NJ Past President Jason Kliwinski, AIA, and administered by Lia Nielsen of the Green Building Center in Lambertville, NJ.
The opening keynote by Willow School founder Mark Biedron was very insightful, raising questions regarding project development, lessons learned and the academic program.
Following, were 4 tracks of seminars and building tours, aligned with Certifications, the Human Experience, Materials and Energy, providing each attendee as many as 6 learning units by the end of the day.
The day concluded with all attendees gathering again for a vibrant panel discussion and AIA NJ President Judith Donnelly, AIA, pledging AIA NJ support of the NJ Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative Legislation.
Local, whole catering was provided by Luna Catering.
